Privacy Policy
How Cycleco collects, uses and protects your personal information — and the rights you have over it.
This Privacy Policy explains how Cycle Collective, LLC(“Cycleco”, “we”) handles personal information when you visit cycleco.shop, place an order, or contact us. We sell to customers worldwide, including the EU/EEA and California, and aim to comply with the GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA and other applicable privacy laws.
1. Information we collect
- Order & contact data: name, email, phone, billing and shipping address.
- Payment data: processed by our payment providers. We receive confirmation and the last digits of your card — never the full card number.
- Enquiry data: anything you send via our contact or wholesale forms.
- Technical & usage data: IP address, device/browser type, and pages visited, collected via cookies (with your consent for non-essential cookies).
2. How we use it
- To process, fulfil and deliver your orders, and provide support.
- To handle returns, refunds and disputes.
- To respond to enquiries and wholesale applications.
- To send marketing emails only where you have opted in (unsubscribe any time).
- To detect fraud, secure the site, and meet legal and accounting obligations.
3. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (to fulfil your order), consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies), legal obligation (tax/accounting), and legitimate interests (securing the site and preventing fraud).
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers who help us operate, under contract and only as needed:
- Payment processors (to take payment securely).
- Shipping and fulfilment carriers (to deliver your order).
- Email and hosting providers, and privacy-respecting analytics.
- Authorities, where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies for cart and checkout functionality, and, with your consent, analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies via our banner, and change your choice by clearing site data. See our cookie notice on first visit.
6. International transfers
We are based in the United States, so your data may be processed in the U.S. and other countries. Where we transfer EU/EEA or UK data, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Data retention
We keep order records for as long as needed to provide our service and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymise them.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct or delete it.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent.
- Request a portable copy of your data.
- California residents (CCPA/CPRA): know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your data, and you won't be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, email support@cycleco.shop. We'll verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by law.
9. Children (COPPA)
Our site is intended for adults. We do notknowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Security
We protect the site with HTTPS encryption and work with payment providers who are PCI-DSS compliant. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.
